Class Evaluation

1) The things that I like about this class is that we get to learn more about the computer itself. We learned what we need to build a computer. We also learned what goes in the computer such as a CPU, a hard drive, video card, etc. We also learn about HTML which is how computer process everything we put in. If we want to write something in a different color we learn what codes are used to change the color. Also how to input a picture in html form.

2) Somethings that i don't like about this class is that we are not able to chew gum. Also we are not able to pick our partners when we do an activity that requires two or more people. Another thing is that we don't get to participate in the class as much as we do in other classes. The last thing is that the class is very repetitive and everyday its the same routine.

3) One thing to make the class more interesting is not make the schedule the same everyday. If that happens most kids will get bored and do other things rather than the assignment. Also do more fun assignments that require the students to think more for themselves when they are facing problems with the computer. Lastly, make the class more interactive among the students.

4) The highlight for me is the flash card machine. This helps me with learning a new language that i already started to learn. It helps me continue on learning new words a phrases to improve my vocabulary. It also helps me learn some medical terms for when i decide to become a doctor. Also weebly has helped me start my own blog which will help me later on when i do my senior defense.

5) I did try to do my best in this class. I tried to memorize all the parts to a computer. I tried to also remember the HTML codes. I tried to write what i know about the each post when we learn new keys or when we learn about the 7 habits. And also the nine ways to be a better person.

6) i try to read my planning goal everyday. The reason i don't is because i am busy with other school stuff or family stuff and i tend to forget that need to read my planning goal. Sometimes i remember but other times i forget because i am too distracted and worrying about school or other things that i have to deal with.

7) i try to be committed  to be a ctr person but when things happen there is no other choice to but to fight against it. I try to improve myself everyday by reading at least five pages of a book ilike or just by self evaluating.

Reflection:
Yes i would like to attend this school because it is really close so i don't spend that much on housing. Also it specializes in the area that i want to practice, which is surgery. It might be expensive, but i know i'll manage somehow.

Key 1Clarity
"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life.  Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going.  If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

This key means that if we want to be something in life we need to be have a goal and be determined to accomplish it. We should be able to know where we want to go and how we are going to get there. we need to work really hard to make a change in our lives. If we do not have a sense of direction of what we want to do we will always be working for people who decided to do something good in their lives. That's why we need to have a vision, a goal so it can lead us to the right path of success. Our goals will help us be a better person then we were yesterday or the week before. When we work hard we will see the changes that happened throughout the course of our lives. Once we accomplish that goal we will be able to reflect on much we have progressed.

Key 2Competence
"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

This key means that if we commit hard everyday to achieve our goals we will have a good life. The harder we work now the greater our reward will be in the future. Also when we work hard many opportunities will come to us and they will lead us to better ourselves. We need to have competence when we are passionate about something we want to do.

Key 3Concentration
"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself “Is this the best use of my time?” before you start anything."

This key states that we should reflect on how we use our time. There will be a time to reflect on how we have taken advantage of the time we have. If we did something good or something bad. Did we use that time to improve our self or to make our self worse. If we want to get a good score on a test or tryout for a sport we dedicate our time to improve our self and make sure we try our best. If we don't do that we might waste our time that will surely make us worse. we should reflect if what we are doing is the right thing.

Key 4Common Sense
  • Train your mind

  • listen to your intuition
  • learn from setbacks
     This key states that we need to have common sense if we want to be successful. It means that we should train our mind to think positive and good things. That when we are faced with a difficult time we should think through. That we need to analyze the situation and think how we will deal with it. When it says that we should listen to our intuition it means that we should listen to our sense of doing good. If we want to do something that will better ourselves we should follow it. And lastly. we should learn from setbacks and just because something didn't work out it doesn't mean we failed.

Key 5Creativity
"Except the fact that every human being is a genius.  The hallmark of creativity is asking questions.  The people who are most creative ask the most questions."
This key means that we should use our imaginations to overcome any problems we face in life. To create new solutions for the problems that we all face now a days. we should also ask creative questions so we can gather new information on a subject we might now a lot about.   In order to be creative, you need to be able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective. Among other things, you need to be able to generate new possibilities or new alternatives. Tests of creativity measure not only the number of alternatives that people can generate but the uniqueness of those alternatives. the ability to generate alternatives or to see things uniquely does not occur by change; it is linked to other, more fundamental qualities of thinking, such as flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity or unpredictability, and the enjoyment of things heretofore unknown.

Key 6Consideration
"The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life."

This key means that we should consider other people when doing something. That we should not leave them out out of an activity. thoughtful and sympathetic regard. It is one of the six elements that must be present for a contract to be enforceable. Consideration must be both legally sufficient and bargained-for by the receiving party.to keep in mind; take into account; make allowance for. we should consider also the environment around us and take care of it while we still can.

Key 7Consistency
"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."

"Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work.  Be the person that people can depend upon.  That if you say you’ll do something you do it.."

To have consistency means that you will always work hard everyday until you achieve your goals. That no matter how hard the path is you will always work hard. That you will not get distracted by other things that won't help you succeed in life. That you will always keep up with your work no matter what. If you are consistent you will have nothing to worry about because you will have everything worked out if you try your best everyday. That also you will not cheat on your everyday life activities.

Key 8Commitment
"No success is possible without commitment.  The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."
"Become totally absorbed in your work.  Be totally committed."

 This means that if you want to achieve something you will have to commit in order for you to be able to achieve it. No one is successful just because of luck they have committed to their work for days, weeks, months, even years to get to where they're are. Even if it takes a long time to accomplish a goal but the more you are into it, the less time it will feel.

This key state that if we want to be successful we must first have confidence in our self.We should practice everyday if we want to achieve our goals. That no matter how many obstacles we must face we will need to have confidence. That we need to analyze the situation and think how we will deal with it. When it says that we should listen to our intuition it means that we should listen to our sense of doing good.

Reflection
 The keys can benefit me by acting on them everyday. To have clarity on the things i do. To have competence. Use common sense. Have creativity. Have consideration for others. Have consistency,. Be committed to the things i love to do. Have the courage to admit failure. And to have confidence.The one that i am applying now is having confidence in myself. I will incorporate the other keys by having more specific goals that will help me be a better person.

Character and Personality

From what i learned about this lecture is that character and personality are two different things. Character is how you are described and how you act towards people you meet. Personality is mostly how you look and how look to others in their point of view. I learned that our character effects our personalities because many people act in a different way. If we have a good character our personalities will be good and we will have more people to be friends with and we will have more people to help us out. if we have a bad character we will have a bad personality and no one will be able to get close to us. If we want to be success we need to have a good character and a good personality.

I spent the last week catching up on the walking dead, im almost caught up, i just need one more season to go, also i watched dragon ball super yesterday. I also listened to the skillet album called unleashed for the 20th time. i still haven't continued writing the book i started a few weeks ago, mostly because i have not had any ideas n how the story will connect

Habit 1: Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
 To say that you have to be proactive means that you should be able to change some things in your life. It means that if you change one thing other things will come and you will take advantage of them to improve your life. It says that you are responsible for your on happiness and if something doesn't make you happy, you should change that. You control your own destiny and your own path, no one can tell you what to do. No one else can make the decision for you and no one can't tell you what to do or not do. Life is about taking risk and making decisions that will change your life and the one's around you. Also it's important to have a positive attitude towards life and not let it bring you down. 
I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it's proactive and there is positive intent behind it. Michael J.



Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

"When you know where you intend to end up, you know where you are now." (Covey)
 This means that you should be in controlled your own future and not anyone else. This also means that someone else should not determined what you will do with your future, just because they didn't achieve their goals. It also means that if you want to get somewhere in life you will have to work really hard if you want to achieve that goal. It also means that you should already know what you are going to do with your life. That your goals will determine where you will end up. That you should have the mentality of a high achiever and strive for the goals you want to accomplish. if you are working hard for those goals you will end up being one of the highest achievers in your filed.

Habit 3: Put First Things First

"Organize and execute around priorities." 
This means that you should do the things that will help you succeed first. It also means that you should be organized and be prepared to achieve your goals. Your priorities come first more than anything if you want to achieve at something you want. If you want to make the football team, you will have to train really hard everyday if you want to earn a spot in the team. Also if you want to pass a test you will have to study everyday if you want to get a good score on it. When the time comes you will be ready to tackle that assignment. It is important to be ready for whats to come in life so that we won't struggle as much as we do. Put the most important things first and work hard everyday.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."
This means that no matter what you do it is all win or nothing. Every time you do something that can change your life, your mentality will always have to be win-win. If there is a situation where you lose, to you it's still a win ,because you win experience and knowledge so next time you will do better than you did before. Your mentality will have to be in a win- win situation if not it will you will always end up losing. this can show that you are not willing to give up and that you succeed no matter the obstacle that is presented in your life. There will be times when you really struggle and you will want to give up. But, you always have to keep going because you  might not know how good it'll change your life. Win or win that is the only thing you will have to think about.
By the end of it, you never know how it's going to turn out. Hopefully if I pick the right songs and put the right melodies on it and all the collaboration works out. it's a win-win situation. Paul Taylor

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."
This means that in order to be successful you need to  know what you will be doing. You need to know how you will proceed to the path of success. If you want to understand your path for success you need to know the obstacles that you will face in order to make a plan and know what you will do. Going after something without a plan is risky because you might fail and won't be able to get back up really soon. You have to know what you are facing before going after something. Many people always have a plan but that does not mean it will always work out and they will need to start over again. Once you know what you will be facing in life will be ready and work hard towards achieving your goal. Not everything comes easy you always have to work for it and not give up when someone has the upper hand. Know what you will be facing and prepare for it because you might not know if your plans will work.

Habit 6:  Synergize

"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"

This means that you should be able to work in teams. That if you want to be successful, you should let other people help you be a leader. Just because you think you know everything does not make you successful. You should have an open mind and let people be part of your life because sometimes you might not know how to do something and the could help you complete a task. If you are part of a team you should let everyone express their opinions on a subject and not judge. Also if there is no one to lead the team to a success you should take the lead because then they will follow you and work together to achieve the goal you all strive for. Your team should be able to work together and try to solve the problems that you all face. If any of your teammates face a problem you should be able to help them because they have helped you in your time of need and won't let you down just you should not let them down. Every team member should be able to offer and receive help even of they don't want it.

Habit 7:  Sharpen the Saw
The Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional

This states that if you want to be successful you will need to always be prepared with different tools to help you achieve a goal. You will need to physically be prepared if you are in a team and need to get ready for a match. You will also need to be mentally prepared if you are going to have a quiz or a test in a class. You will need to study if you want a good grade. Also you will need to be spiritually prepared for whatever comes your way. sometimes things might be too overwhelming for us so all we can do is hope that everything will be solved. Lastly, you will need to be social/emotional prepared. Social meaning that you will learn to interact with different people because not all of them will easy to deal with. And emotional because there will be hard times when your emotions will break and you will not be able to control them. We need to have these four things prepared because life happens and we won't know the outcome.

Reflection

The seven habits have taught me that it does not take much if i want to be successful. The first habit being Proactive taught me that i need to change somethings in my life so i would not be stressed out. The second habit which is to begin with the end in mind. This taught me that if i want to achieve it, i have to picture myself achieving it, and that i should focus on that alone. The third habit is to put things first, has showed me that if i want to be even more successful i will have to do the things that will help better first. That i should work hard and not let anything distract me. The fourth which is think win-win means that no matter the obstacle i always need to have a positive mind on whatever i do. The fifth which is seek first to understand, then to be understood. this means that i should our best to understand to know what we are doing in life. the six habit is synergize. This says that if we do things on our own we might be successful, but when it comes to working in teams we need to know how to cooperate with everyone. The last habit which is sharpen the saw tells me that i should do things over and over again if the will make me a successful person in the future.

How to remember names

Choose to care.
Most psychologists and memory experts point out that one of the main reasons we forget someone’s name is that we’re not really focused on learning it in the first place. There’s too much else going on, and it’s vying for our attention.

Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. The most surefire strategy is to repeat the person’s name–both in your head, and out loud–as soon as possible after you’ve been introduced.

Speak Up. Embarrassing as it seems, don’t be afraid to ask someone to repeat his or her name. Start out with a compliment, such as “I’ve had so much fun talking with you, and I’ve completely forgotten your name.”

1) Become genuinely interested in other people
"Do this and you will be welcome anywhere"
"You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get another people interested in you"
"ask questions to other people, question that they would enjoy answering"

This means that if you want to gain more friends you should be interested in them instead of talking about yourself. If you act like you want all the attention on you than you won't get any friends because they will think that you are obnoxious. If you do get interested in others they will welcome you every time you come close to them because they know that you mean well and they will consider you part of their group. Also you can ask questions to them that seem to get their attention. Like asking what their favorite t.v show is, or their favorite type of food. It is also about being friendly towards that that also gets you more friends.  If you become interesting on them they will start being interesting on you and start asking you questions and they will also will take an interested on you. Carnegie talks about that if you are interesting in other people they will help you with your success and you will not fail. Being kind to others will help you in your career and your life. You can earn friends every where you go, you just have to be interesting on them.

2)Smile

Part of making friends is knowing how to smile. Everybody can smile and say that they are happy. Sometimes the person might not be happy but they still smile because they love to have a good company with them and

3) Remember Names

2)"If you don't remember names, you are headed for trouble"

This means that you can make friends just by remembering their names. It is easy to remember names is you try to make new friends. If you were to meet someone know wouldn't you want them to remember your name. Obviously if they don't you will get mad because they didn't make an effort to remember. It also goes both ways, if you don't remember their names they will get mad at you for not remembering. This is one important thing to remember when meeting new people, you have to know their names. You can become best friends with someone just by knowing their names and acknowledged them. They will become people who will help you in the future when you are facing a difficult time, they will encourage you to do things that will change your life for the better.

4) Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.

2) "Remember that the man you are talking to is a hundred times more interested in himself and his wants and his problems than he is in you or your problems"

This means that if you want people to like you must be a good listener. In order to be a good listener you must know how to pay attention to what people are telling you and remembering what they said. This will cause them to think that you actually remember what you have been told and they will have more confidence in you. they start talking to you more and more and in the process you will earn a new friend. If you want to earn more friends you will have to pay more attention to what people say to you and they will also start talking to you more and more. It's really easy to be a good conversationalist, you just have to find a subject to talk about and you will have a new friend to talk to.

Rule 5: Talk in terms of the other man's interest.


"The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most."

This means that if you want to make new friends you should talk about what the other person likes. This will say that you are interested to talk about them and they will talk to you  more and more. You will also be able to remember what they tell you and they will become your friend. You can ask that person anything and if they trust you enough they will tell you a lot more things. It's easy to ask about another person's interest if you are willing to listen to them  and understand their background and how they got to where they are. At one point they will ask for your interest and you will gladly tell them because by then they will consider you their friend and they will be able to trust you. That is one way to be able to make new friends by asking them what their interest are.

Rule 6: Make the other person feel important--and do it sincerely.

This is also another way to make new friends. This means that you should be consider them important to you. This will allow them to open up to you and have more trust in you. You have to make people feel important to you and they will also make you feel very important them. But it just doesn't just mean to make them feel important you have to do it sincerely, that is when they will notice that you really care about them. They also need to feel appreciated for what they do for us and how they influence us. They will also make us feel appreciated for what we do for them and that they will become a closer friend than we might think. Not everyone is that opening sometimes it takes for a person to get used to feeling important because they have never felt like that. So we must make sure that they know that they are important you and they will realize that they matter and they will also make you feel really important and appreciated.
